Coach John McGinness is a graduate of Fitchburg State College where he was a basketball starter for two season. Following college Coach McGinness returned to his home town of Billerica, MA where continues to support youth basketball within the Billerica Youth Basketball (BYB) league.  He was a coach/councilor at Jim Todd's Hoops Academy & John Havlicek basketball camps.  He served as BYB program, grade coordinator for both boys and girls basketball.  1998-2002 he served as the boys travel basketball team as their head coach moving to assistant coach in 2002-2004.  Beginning in 2004-2008 he was the girls travel basketball team, head coach as well as in 2005 began his high school coaching career as the Billerica Memorial High School girls varsity basketball assistant coach. 

 Coach McGinness other interest include 10 years member of Board #95 of I.A.A.B.O. basketball official, 15 year member of Greater Lowell Softball Umpires Association, and active Board Member of BYB.
